The 2012 Wuyi comparison placed Ban Tian Yao among the later spring-picking accessions. Its familiar cliff-origin story, including the Sanhua Peak association, is not established by that biological study. Keep the name’s traditional explanation separate from a verified propagation history or the origin of a tea offered for sale.
