Notes#
The original trial report dates naming to 20 June 2019 and identifies the selected line as Taitung Yongkang 1. It describes lanceolate leaves and hairless young shoots, with suitability for green and black tea.
The report treats the native material as Camellia formosensis. Shanyun is one selected cultivar, not a synonym for all Taiwan mountain tea. Sources differ on whether introduction began in 2000 or 2001; this should not be confused with the naming date.
