Jianshui purple pottery
Definition#
A ceramic tradition of Jianshui, Yunnan, distinct from Yixing zisha. Its documented craft includes incised decoration filled with contrasting clay and polishing without glaze. Tea vessels are among its products; the shared word zi does not establish identical clay, manufacture or brewing properties.
