Definition#
Combined rolling and cutting of withered leaf for broken or granular black (红茶) tea. A Guangxi draft standard for CTC broken red tea passes leaf through a rotorvane and then a four-unit CTC machine (tooth gap 0.10–0.15 mm) that cuts, crushes and curls it; NY/T 780 lists cutting (切碎) as an optional red tea step.
