Literal meaning
new six great tea mountains
Definition#
A modern grouping of tea areas west/south of the Lancang, as a counterpart to the old six. Lists most often give Nannuo (南糯), Nanqiao (南峤), Mengsong (勐宋), Jingmai (景迈), Bulang (布朗) and Bada (巴达), but versions differ. It is a trade and promotional convention, not a historical designation.
