白叶1号白葉1號
Baiye 1
Clonal cultivar selected from an albino variant in Anji’s local tea population. Its pale spring leaves are used for green tea; the leaf colour does not make it a white-tea processing category.

Notes#
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs profile records GPD 茶树(2022)330046 and describes a medium-leaf shrub suited to green tea. Its listed adaptation areas include Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Guizhou and Shaanxi.
Spring leaf whitening is temperature-sensitive; the leaves become green as conditions warm. Baiye 1 is the plant cultivar, whereas Anji white tea is a geographically defined finished tea. Planting Baiye 1 elsewhere does not by itself establish Anji origin.
