Definition#
The label item naming the product standard a food is made to, by code and number. GB 7718-2011 (clause 4.1.10) requires prepackaged food made and sold in mainland China to show the code and serial number of the standard it implements; where that standard defines quality grades, the grade must be shown too (4.1.11.4).

Common confusions#
- The phrase names the standard used for the product. Executive standard obscures this meaning in English.
- Citing the pu'er GI standard does not by itself show that a cake meets it.
