This producer record covers the white2tea pressings. The shop is the vendor 'white2tea', which also sells some teas it did not press. Paul Murray first visited Yunnan in 2005 and has lived in China since then. He pressed his first cake in 2012, the year he dates the brand to. Meridian says he announced it on his TwoDog blog that year and went full-time in 2014. He moved from Beijing to Guangzhou in 2015 for its natural storage climate, and spends the spring and autumn seasons sourcing in Yunnan, often based in Menghai. He designs the wrappers himself. The teas are mostly blends with deliberately sparse origin information, and Meridian described the business in 2022 as essentially a one-man online operation. The about page names no founder or city and claims 'over 20 years' in China. No Chinese name for the label appears on its pages.
