Notes#
Guangzhou matters to the tea world as a market. The Fangcun wholesale market's quotations are the usual price reference for Dayi and other factory pu'er (see the existing 'dayihangqing' source). The city's humid climate gives its name to 'Guangdong storage' (广东仓). The city is also where 鸭屎香 Dancong entered the mass drinks trade: lemon teas from 丘大叔 (2018), and reportedly earlier from 挞柠 (around 2016, uncited in the source). A separate Fangcun area entry was not created because no authoritative source on the market's size or history could be opened.
