Notes#

Wuzhou presents Liubao as an overseas-Chinese export tea (侨销茶). It went by boat down the West River, a route now branded the 'tea-boat ancient road' (茶船古道), to Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia. Cangwu's Liubao tea making is one of the city's three national intangible heritage items. The city and county call the Hekou (合口) wharf in Liubao town the start of the tea-boat road.
