Notes#
Identity and history#
The Ministry of Commerce museum names Guangxi Wuzhou Tea Factory Co., Ltd. as the producer. It dates the factory to 1953 and registration of the Three Cranes trademark to October 1991. The factory's earlier history should not be read as evidence that this trademark appeared on tea in 1953.
Teas and brands#
Its focus is Liubao tea, a Guangxi dark tea. The museum credits the factory with developing cold-water wet-piling in 1958, an important episode in modern Liu Bao processing. This attributed historical claim does not establish that every Liu Bao tea follows the factory's process, or verify the age of a particular product.
