A Haiwan-authorized anniversary notice from 2019 associates 99 with the company's 1999 founding, while dating the series itself to 2007–2008. The branded storefront describes a 2008 introduction; 1999 must not be used as the recipe's release year. The 2019 limited 9978 was explicitly an upgraded edition, with 357 g cakes, rather than proof that every year's blend is identical. The provincial 2018 award list identifies Anning Haiwan's 9978 ripe cake; an award records recognition, not a guarantee for every batch.
