Xiaguan's flagship 100 g bowl-shaped sheng tuocha; "Jia Ji" means first or superior grade. It carries no number code.
Xiaguan uses both Jia Tuo (甲沱) and Jia Ji (甲级, 'grade A') in its product names. Its catalogue separately lists 2022 Jia Tuo and 2022 Xiaguan Tuocha (Jia Ji) for Sichuan and Chongqing, alongside a 2026 Te Tuo flagship edition. These entries identify particular products; they do not establish a universal quality ladder. Read the producer, year and full product name together.
Made since at least the 1950s; the tuocha form itself goes back to the Yongchangxiang trading house around 1902.
