Notes#

Manufacture. The agricultural introduction describes fixation, rolling and shaping that produce the curved, hairy dry leaf. The published processing specification covers both hand and machine manufacture.

Grades. Leaf selection varies by grade; it should not be reduced to a universal single-bud rule. The cited 2015 specification is historical technical evidence, not a claim that its legal status has been freshly verified.

Recovery and technical refinement. Zhongguo mingchazhi (2000, p. 799) describes uneven manufacture after production resumed following 1949. It records process-improvement work at Duyun Tea Farm beginning in spring 1968 and a refined product trial-marketed in Japan in 1972. This places modern Duyun Maojian within a history of recovery and deliberate technical change; the old tea name does not establish an unaltered recipe.
