Yihong Gongfu
Traditional Hubei black tea associated with Yichang and neighboring western Hubei tea areas.
Notes#
Manufacture. Withering, rolling, oxidation and drying are followed by refining operations such as sorting and blending. The gongfu style is associated with fine, worked leaf strips.
Geographic scope. The Yichang agricultural account defines a particular local production area, while the national heritage-museum account describes a broader historical region including Enshi. Product origin should retain that distinction; the Yihong style is not evidence of one specific factory.
