Definition#
Compressed white tea: under GB/T 31751-2015 loose white tea is sorted, blended, steam-pressed into shape and dried, giving pressed Baihao Yinzhen, Bai Mudan, Gongmei or Shoumei. Commonly sold as 白茶饼 (white tea cake); the China Tea Society primer dates white-tea pressing to 2006 and notes summer and autumn Shoumei as typical material.
