Definition#
Name element for teas made from straight, downy single buds that look like needles. In white tea it is the bud-only top product 白毫银针 (GB/T 22291-2017: single buds of Dabai or Shuixian cultivars, withered, dried and sorted); the same word appears in the yellow tea 君山银针 and in some green teas, so it does not identify a category.
