Identity and history#
The Ministry of Commerce museum links today's Xie Yuda Tea Co., Ltd. to Xie Zheng'an's historical tea house and dates that house to 1875. It also credits him with the early development of Huangshan Maofeng. This is a heritage account, not evidence that the present corporate entity was incorporated in 1875.
Teas and brands#
The company's profile centres on Huangshan Maofeng and also identifies Taiping Houkui, Lu’an Guapian and Qimen black tea. It describes participation in Huangshan Maofeng standards and physical reference samples. Xie Zheng'an is both a historical person's name and a company brand; neither brand name denotes all tea from Huangshan.
