Notes#
Identity and history#
The Ministry of Commerce museum traces the Yiyang factory to the 1958 relocation of Anhua No. 2 Tea Factory and dates its reorganisation as Yiyang Tea Factory Co., Ltd. to 2007. Its account gives both 1958 and 1959 for the start of production, so that milestone remains unresolved.
Teas and brands#
Its core tea is Fu brick tea. The museum dates registration of the Xiangyi trademark to 1994 and its adoption for the factory's Fu bricks to 1997–1998. Earlier packaging used Renmin and Zhongcha marks. Factory history, trademark registration and the age of an individual brick therefore require separate evidence.
