Legal name 勐海雨林古茶坊茶叶有限责任公司. The company says it spent 2009-2012 surveying ancient-tree resources across Xishuangbanna and setting its processing standards. It registered in 2013, when its first ancient-tree products went on sale, and the 雨林古茶坊 trademark followed in 2015. Its headquarters, 'Yulin Manor', is at the Manmai group of Manmai village committee, Mengsong Township, Menghai County (勐宋乡曼迈村委会曼迈小组), on more than 500 mu with a refining centre and warehouse. A national marketing centre is in Liwan District, Guangzhou, and there is a Kunming office.
On Mengsong it runs an ancient-tree tea museum and archive holding more than 30,000 samples by mountain, village, year and season, which CPPCC Daily described in 2021. Company claims include a 2015 Menghai County intangible-heritage listing related to 普洱茶制作技艺, a 2022 extension of well-known-trademark protection for '雨林古茶坊及图' by the National Intellectual Property Administration, organic certifications, and more than 4,000 stores. Products are sold by year as ancient-tree sheng, shou, black and white teas, including a 'traditional series' of named mountain teas.
