Notes#

Mengsong township covers about 494 km² with 23,184 people in nine administrative villages (Manmai, Manfang, Manjin, Manlü, Banggang, Sanmai, Nuoyou, Da'an, Banglong; zh Wikipedia). OSM's township centre (22.0546, 100.5633) agrees. en Wikipedia lists Nanben Laozhai (南本老寨), Sanmai (三迈) and Xiao Mengsong as its terroirs, and TeaDB names Mengsong among the mountains feeding Menghai Tea Factory blends. Mengsong is one of the townships covered by the county's old-tree rescue campaign since 2018. The often-repeated claim that Mengsong's Huazhuliangzi (滑竹梁子) is Xishuangbanna's highest peak was not confirmed from a source I could open, so no elevation is given.
