Notes#
Reading the name#
In a 2019 factory-produced educational article, preserved as an attributed reprint, Fuhai explains 85 as a 1985 blending plan, 9 as the composite leaf-grade designation, and 6 as Fuhai. This records the maker’s interpretation; it does not independently date the first commercial release or make 1985 the harvest year.
Formats and editions#
The same article says the 2019 edition altered the earlier recipe and raised material grade and age: the number therefore does not promise immutable ingredients. Verdant Tea separately records a 2007 pressing of 357 g. Its tasting and storage descriptions concern that offered tea, not every 8596.
