Jingshan tea
Green tea associated with Jingshan in Hangzhou’s Yuhang district.
Notes#
A 2026 profile of tea maker Liu Wei describes a combination of machine and hand work: a temperature-controlled electric drum handles the first fixation stage, followed by hand movements with a tea broom to straighten and shape the leaf. This is one maker’s documented practice, showing how traditional handling can work alongside controlled heating.
The finished green tea and the Jingshan tea banquet are related but distinct subjects: a heritage designation for a tea custom is not a grade for the tea in a packet.
