Notes#
History. The local government records the introduction of Yunnan large-leaf tea plants in 1956 and the first Yingde black tea in 1959.
Name and plant. Yingde black tea is the finished regional tea, whereas Yinghong 9 is a cultivar used to make it. Origin, suitable plant material and processing all matter for the protected geographical name; cultivar identity alone does not establish Yingde origin.
