Notes#

Mangjing is one of the two administrative villages in the Jingmai World Heritage zone. It is mainly Blang, while neighbouring Jingmai village is mainly Dai. Its five heritage villages are Wengji, Mangjing Shangzhai, Mangjing Xiazhai, Manghong and Wengwa. On Mangjing mountain stands the tea-soul platform (茶魂台), a stone terrace with a central pillar nearly 3 m tall. Each corner carries a set of five offering posts for the Blang, Dai, Hani, Lahu and Wa. Each April the Blang hold the Shankang tea-ancestor festival there and offer the year's best spring tea to Pa'aileng. A separating forest belt (PF-03) divides the Jingmai and Mangjing tea forests. Vendors often sell 'Mangjing' or 'Wengji' as distinct from 'Jingmai'.
