Where was Yinsheng city?
The Manshu (864) says tea grows in the hills of Yinsheng city. Jingdong's own publicity, echoed by Pu'er Daily, makes Yinsheng the Jingdong seat, following Yuan to Qing gazetteers. Other writers argue for Linxiang (Lincang), where a Nanzhao-era city site has been dug, or for the Jinghong area. No inscription settles it, and the line may describe the Yinsheng jurisdiction as a whole.
