Notes#
The 'Wenshan' tea area is wider than Taipei's present Wenshan District. Wikipedia lists Taipei's Wenshan and Nangang districts plus New Taipei's Xindian, Pinglin, Shiding, Shenkeng and Xizhi as Wenshan Baozhong areas. Taipei County (as it then was) had about 11.5% of planted tea area in the late 2000s and New Taipei about 12% of output in 2013. TRES's northern branch is at Shiding (the former Wenshan branch, moved there in 1987). Shimen district has made Tieguanyin from 硬枝紅心 since the 1960s–80s.
