Notes#

Wikipedia notes that in Emei the tea is usually called 東方美人茶, while neighbouring Beipu prefers 膨風茶; tea factories make up most of the township's manufacturing. The area was opened by Hakka settlers under the 金廣福 reclamation company (1835). The MOE Taiwanese dictionary names Beipu and Emei together as the source of 白毫心烏龍 (椪風茶 / 東方美人茶). See Beipu for processing, harvest and names.
