Notes#
A 2022 regional report identifies Mangshui and Wenquan, along the Lancang river system, as the core of a tea-development demonstration area. The county combines modern managed gardens with older tea-tree populations; the latter should not be treated as the origin of all Changning tea. Product style also needs checking: local producers make black tea, sun-dried tea and white tea, rather than one uniform county style.
