Notes#
Yongde covers 3,221 km² and had 328,864 people at the 2020 census. It has three towns (Dedang, Xiaomengtong, Yongkang), five townships (Mengban, Yalian, Banka, Chonggang, Dashan), two ethnic townships (Wumulong Yi; Daxueshan Yi, Lahu and Dai) and the Mengdi farm. The county lies in the pu'er GI area. Yongde Daxueshan's main peak is described as the highest peak near the Tropic of Cancer in mainland China; the range became a national nature reserve in 2006, and wild-type old tea grows in the reserve and in the Tangli Shan forest. Trade writers group the county's tea as 'Yongde Daxueshan' (Mangfei, Manlai, and the Fangniuchang garden of Banka township): younger trees than Mengku or Bangdong, cheaper, and often used for shou. Mangfei is the famous name. Seat weather (1981-2010): 17.7 °C mean, 1,260.3 mm of rain.
