Notes#
Formerly called Shunning, Fengqing was the site of Feng Shaoqiu’s Dianhong trials in 1938; the Shunning Experimental Tea Factory followed in March 1939. These are distinct milestones, not competing founding dates. An April 2026 report gives 516,000 mu of tea gardens across the county. This is a county-wide area, not an ancient-tree area or a single estate. Dasi township is a specific growing and processing area for both Dianhong and refined green tea.
